This Is The Social Realism That Was/Is:

The vast right wing conspiracy was, in effect, spawned here in New Orleans. The plotters drilled and fund-raised here to kill President John Kennedy in 1963. New Orleans was also the venue for the beleaguered trial on the assassination brought by New Orleans DA Jim Garrison.
